The south of Brazil was back in full off-road mode last weekend as the Indaial round of the Radical 4x4 Brazilian Championship powered by Genius Tyres took place. With a technical track, intense battles on course, and a strong crowd turnout, the event once again proved why it’s one of the most anticipated rounds on the national off-road calendar.
From the early hours of Saturday, it was already clear the event was going to be big. Fans started arriving throughout the morning, and by around 10 a.m. much of the venue was already filled. The grandstands and spectator areas kept receiving a steady flow of visitors throughout the day.
The organizers also improved the overall structure compared to previous years. This time the vendor and spectator areas were set up with uniform blue tents spread across the venue, creating a cleaner layout and providing shade and comfort for fans who arrived early to catch the action on the track.

Over the two days of the event, more than 1,500 people came through the arena in Indaial to watch the action up close at the Radical 4x4 Brazilian Championship powered by Genius Tyres, reinforcing the round as one of the major off-road gatherings in the region.
A fast, long track packed with challenges
One of the biggest highlights of the round was the track itself. Drivers considered it one of the longest and fastest courses in the championship, featuring new technical sections and obstacles that demanded both skill and bravery from the teams.

With several high-speed sections and well-placed obstacles, lap times varied depending on the category, typically ranging from 1:28 to 1:40.
Weather conditions also added extra excitement to the competition. Saturday started with clear skies, but clouds rolled in later in the day and a heavy downpour hit during the Graduados class runs. Even with the rain, the competition kept going, making the course even more challenging.
On Sunday morning, another quick summer storm passed through. The rain lasted about 40 minutes, and once it cleared, the intense battles on the track resumed.
Battles that fired up the crowd

The Indaial round was marked by memorable battles on the track between some of the championship’s top competitors.
One of the most talked-about duels happened between Pedro Ziober and Rodrigo Campos (Toca Terror). On Sunday morning, Pedro laid down an extremely competitive lap and took the lead in the heat. Rodrigo answered by dropping the time even further and believed he had locked in the position.
But Pedro went back out and managed to beat the mark again, delivering an exciting back-and-forth that fired up the crowd.
In the Monster class, another intense fight unfolded between Ricardo Brosin and Caio Salles. After several blazing-fast laps, Brosin and his spotter Herick Pavin managed to drop their time on the very last lap of the final heat, securing the stage victory.

Breakdowns, resilience, and true off-road spirit
Like any hardcore off-road competition, the round also had its share of tense moments. Some teams faced major mechanical failures, including blown engines during the heats.
In one case, a team spent the entire night working on their rig just to make it back to the track on Sunday, showing the true determination and resilience that define the off-road world.
There were also a few rollovers during the event, especially in a new category that made its debut at this round.
The debut of the UTV class

The Indaial round also marked the introduction of the UTV class in the championship. Four vehicles took part in the debut, adding even more variety and excitement to the competition.
Despite a few incidents and rollovers-something common for a brand-new class-the debut was considered a success and is expected to attract more competitors in the upcoming rounds.
Trail rides, scenic runs, and connecting with the crowd

Beyond the races, the event also kept a strong connection with fans and participants off the track.
The traditional trail run brought together around 80 vehicles, while a separate scenic ride included about 30 vehicles, offering a more relaxed experience for those who wanted to join the event without tackling the toughest obstacles.
The ride also featured a traditional local breakfast with cucas, cured meats, cheeses, coffee, and milk, creating a friendly atmosphere and a great moment of camaraderie among participants.
A full event setup for the whole family
The event featured a complete setup that received plenty of praise from both participants and visitors.
Some of the highlights included:
a food court with several food trucks
traditional Brazilian-style barbecue
event merchandise stands selling shirts and caps
a kids’ area with inflatable attractions
sponsor and vendor booths
live music during lunch and after the races
A large screen set up in the main area also played videos and event highlights throughout the day, keeping the crowd entertained between the races.
A show that promises even more in the upcoming rounds
With a challenging track, intense battles, and a strong crowd turnout, the Indaial round reinforced the growing momentum of the Radical 4x4 Brazilian Championship powered by Genius Tyres.
The high technical level of the teams, combined with the crowd’s passion for off-road, shows that the upcoming rounds promise even more excitement.
For those who live for the mud, rocks, and the challenges of off-road, Indaial once again proved that the radical spirit is alive and stronger than ever.
